Learn Meditation and Mindfulness Course
This is a four weeks course starting on Thursday 2nd of May, 6pm to 7:15pm. The group will meet four Thursdays at the Gladstone Inclusion Centre on 21 Off St, Gladstone Central.
It is becoming more regular now to have health practitioners recommending mindfulness and meditation. Science keeps proving the abundant benefits of these two practices. Mindfulness and meditation are commonly used these days not as a means to reach enlightenment but to reduce stress, anxiety and depression.
The ability of the mind to create is nondeductible. This course teaches to identify the patterns in the mind waves and to identify oneself with Presence (not with entanglements of Mind). Hence we learn there is a separation between the mind and the I. There is a Deep-I and an Ego or Outer I.
The identification with the Outer-I and the entanglements with the mind is what causes so much pain and happiness. However this happiness is temporal because it depends on something external.
This course teaches to See these things so we can cultivate more discernment.
Gabriela started practising transcendental meditation in 2004. Over the last 15 years she has deepen her meditation knowledge and practice. She is currently studying with the Eckhart Tolle’s School of Awakening.
A lot of the content of this course will be based on Eckhart Tolle’s teachings.
Duration: 4 weeks. One weekly meeting each Thursday 6pm. Starting on 2nd of May
